Today's Challenges in Tuberculosis Control

International course in Tartu and Tallinn 11-14 April 2011

The international course Today's Challenges in Tuberculosis Control aims to improve capacity of medical specialists in addressing the changing challenges in TB countrol in the region.

In recent years the epidemiological situation of tuberculosis has become a new challenge for health care systems in the whole Europe. Tuberculosis respects no borders: migration inside Europe has steadily increased as well as concomitant social problems. The emergence of MDR TB and HIV has aggravated the situation even more. In the rapidly changing situation there is a need to update the knowledge and skills of medical specialists.Filha organizes this course in cooperation with the National Tuberculosis Programme of Estonia and the Tartu University Clinics under the auspices of WHO and IUATLD.
